Loretta Bradfield’s passion for Drum Horses began in high school when she placed a picture of the legendary Galway Warrior in her locker. Years later, while searching for a Shire horse with her mother, fate led them to discover a Drum Horse for sale. They brought both horses home, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey.
After two years of trail riding and showing her beloved mare, Saphira, Loretta knew she wanted to contribute to the future of the breed as a breeder. Her vision became reality when she found her dream stallion, BH Spectacular—a grandson of Galway Warrior. Toby has earned over 20 titles and counting, including recognition in the International Drum Horse Association (IDHA) End-of-Year Awards for both 2019 and 2020, 2022, 2023 for show and Exhibition.
Committed to the growth and preservation of the Drum Horse breed, Loretta has dedicated her time to working tirelessly to promote and support the breed for generations to come.
#1 TEMPERAMENT
All our horses are picked for the BEST personality on the planet. If they can’t behave with four kids running around or handling them. They do not stay here.
#2 WORKING
We ride our mares and handle them. We hope to make sure that when they are retired or if we have to trade them out they have a great second life. This also proves the mother to be willing and trainable as well.
#3 CONFORMATION
Loretta Bradfield is an artist and has studied bone and muscle structure for years. These years of study show up with every foal that is born on our property
Our movies
There was a local call for horses for a Christmas movie. We entered and was chosen to be featured in the movie
Cupid’s Christmas. Following that we did two more low budget films. In 2023 Loretta Bradfield won the Equine Film and Arts Festival for best script. Heartbeat of a Drum Horse is filming and in production for release 2024. With another called Santa’s Pony Express in 2025.
